Post Compresion numbers
I did a compression test like a week ago and it was 150,150,150,150 being even all across is good but are these numbers low, normal, (pretty sure not high) I'm just not sure. I was thinking 170 was factory for some reason I think I'm getting blow by but I don't know. Others please post compression Numbers

Not an SR, lol, but still.
1- 182psi 2- 182psi 3- 182psi 4- 180psi R.W. is correct. I'm gonna pick one up sometime. You can actually use the hose off your compression tester and just pressurize the cylinder via air compressor and listen for air leaking past. Very helpful finding headgasket leaks.

Re: Post Compresion numbers
mayday, it might have been the tool you were using that gave you lower than usual numbers. the chances of all four cylinders in a 4 year old engine being consistently 10% lower than what is considered normal seems like quite the coincidence

Re: Post Compresion numbers
the FSM states the compression should be 128-156psi with 14psi difference between each. This is straight out of the S14 FSM, an english S13 SR20DET FSM doesnt exsist. My numbers are about 145 for all.

Re: Post Compresion numbers
The KA has much higher numbers because of higher compression. my numbers were for the SR

Re: Post Compresion numbers
Uh, www.zeroyon.com has downloadable FSM for pretty much all the 240sx versions. Except the redtop silvia as I don't think there is a manual avaliable in english for that car.
