07 P-71 tranny delay going into drive
after the delay it works fine when we got the car there was a pretty good size dent in the fluid pan we changed the filter and fluid and the selonoids and it still takes about 4 seconds to go into drive any help would really help .

Does it slip during any shift (i.e. engine 'flares' during shift)? Sounds like a low pressure issue. If you changed the filter, make sure that the seal from the old one was not stuck in the valve body. Does it make any growling or whining sounds in gear?

Thanks for the reply but the 4 second delay is the only problem and thats for Drive it goes right in to reverse and after the delay it changes great..
