1985 Eldorado - Left turn signal issue - Help !
Just bought an 85 Eldo and the left turn signal doesn't flash.
Right side flashes fine. Left will only light the left side brighter with no flashing. Changed the relay located on the fuse panel with no change. Any ideas out there?? Thanks Tony |

Not sure what relay you mean. Are you referring to the flasher? There should be two, one for the directionals and one for the 4 ways. If you did change the flasher, did you change the right one?

DFB
Thanks for the reply. I wasn't aware there were 2 flashers. The part i changed was a round silver piece that plugs into the bottom right of the fuse panel. Told the autoparts guy what the problem was and he gave me that part. Ordered a Chilton book online but that wil take some time to arrive. I'll go back to the autostore and see if they have the other flasher. Thanks Tony |

I'm not sure how, or where, your turn signal is mounted, but it sure sounds like a grounding issue.

In rereading the issue I believe I got on the wrong track before I had coffee. If one side is flashing, the flasher should be good. Check all the relevant bulbs and sockets. I believe the problem may be there.
