Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R

And another project:

Tamiya Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R. Simple but nice kit, just for the fun beside the Evo X.

The wheels are used for an other project. I found these Enkei NT-03 wheels as replacement.

I used Blue Anthracite from VW for the bodycolor.

And Zero 2K Clear:

And I polished the paint, so now I can paint the windowtrims.

Kris.

Another nice wip. Paint looks awesome on this one too. What's your painting set up? Your paint jobs always look perfect.

Re: Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R

I haven't done much lately but this is the reason why My first son named Tijs was born on the 1st of October. This means less modelling, but I don't care.

Meanwhile I started to resume this project. I worked on the windowtrims and clearparts.

De Skyline werd gepoetst en voorzien van de raamrubbers en beglazing.

I also finished the interior. Kept it pretty much original.

Congratulations! Yes, he will be frustrating at times but overall there's nothing more rewarding! Is it too soon for a snap kit?

Re: Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R

Nice work on the GTR Kris.

And congrats on your son.

Now, is it just me, or did you paint the car to match your kids outfit, or did you dress your son to match the build?

Re: Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R

Just finished the chassis. I added wheatering and a new exhaust. Lowered the suspension and fitted the new wheels.

I also finished the body.

Meanwhile it's finished. It's not my best model, but I like it though. There are a few errors in the bodywork. I picked up the hobby again after 7 months, so I had to practice with the airbrush again.

Re: Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R

man that paint looks good. I'm jea....l.o.u.s!

Love the build. Congratulations on your little one. I am returning here after a loooooooong break, just intending to lurk, but this is so similar to my own life.

new kids... GTR's.. Thanks for pulling my heart strings enough to login and creep out of the shadows! Best of luck with your build and your munchkin. If you see me around, please stop by my thread, too.
