Just found this interesting news to make the 458 gt2 in a little cheaper way than APM resin model.
http://www.hlj.com/product/S27TK2448 they make 2 cars, the other one is this: http://www.hlj.com/product/S27TK2449 really curious to see whats inside...

Re: Ferrari 458 gt2 conversion by st27
That seems a bit high to have no interior details at all(!).
Or am I just a cheap-ass? |

Re: Ferrari 458 gt2 conversion by st27
..there is something not convincing me in the nose section, from those pics...maybe its just my sensation, but after studying my pics for so many weeks think I know what I say...The air intake up to fwd wheel arches is also closed.
They dont give anything for the interior parts, this is mostly a body with some rims, and I think decals.Wonder why nobody makes any longer such unique parts in the oldstyle vacuform.Being mostly a plane modeller I still remember some incredibly welldone planes.Today is just resin, thick and expensive as a dolce and gabbana soap.Often looking like a soap also.. The cockpit of the gt2 has a very different dashboard (and steering wheel).Dunno if people taking this conversion wants also get mad in fixing all inside and the complex rollcage.

looks good, but 135,- € + shipping + tax + Fujimi kit = ~ 200,- € ??? + rollcage, seat, dash......??? the price for the APM full kit in Germany is ~160,- € http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10197775 Mike |

Re: Ferrari 458 gt2 conversion by st27
Looks interesting, but not more
I have the APM-Kit, a complete kit. Not sure if the St27 wheels are correct, the rear window should have no lines for heater. If I compare the content of the St27 kit with Scaleproductions Galladro, the last one is a real offer for 119 Euros including wheels with alu-rings, racing interior, decals, ...

probably is cause apm is not so easy to find around, and in internet right now is all from far east at 230 euro (without shipping, taxes AND decal sheets and correct rims..)

Re: Ferrari 458 gt2 conversion by st27
Expensive body. I wasn't sure to preorder it, but seeing how there's no interior detail and that it's basically a $80 worth transkit, I'm glad I didn't.
And as lovegt40 saying, there's something that look wrong with the nose. The overall body look "tick" to me. Anyway, I'm sure other transkit will show up soon for this kit.
