SE-R vs 3000GT
Who would win in a street race? a new SE-R Spec V or a 3000GT SL 5 speed. lets say both are stock to avoid tunning variables!

Re: SE-R vs 3000GT
i'm gonna say that the 3KGT might have the edge.

im not so sure about that 3000GT having any edge.
Spec-V SE-R's are pretty light and are tuned really well, even at sotck. Mitsubishi 3kGT's are quite heavy vehicles. That weight is often compensated by its power. If you want some more little facts check out this auto forum link that i found with google: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t249496.html http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/ro...112scc_sentra/ heck screw those web sites look here for the FACTS! http://www.albeedigital.com/supercou...0-60times.html i would have to say it would be close, but i would put my money on the sentra baby!!! Heaven Yeah Biznitch!!! Last edited by xsism; 07-01-2004 at 06:00 PM. |

Re: SE-R vs 3000GT
Dont really care which is faster...just'd rather have a SE-R than a 3kgt SL

Re: SE-R vs 3000GT
i think the 3000gt SL should take on the SE-R. yes the 3000gt weighs 3200 lbs but it has also more hp than the SE-R. also im not a fan of four door cars, so the SL is a way better car imo.

Re: SE-R vs 3000GT
also this website has some bs times http://www.albeedigital.com/superco.../0-60times.html a 3000gt SL runs 16s only if its an automatic. SLs run mid to low 15s.

http://www.angelfire.com/pa3/ford/performance1.htm
this one has the same info...so I'll just show some math...and personally the spec-v is a better machine imo...a vr-4 is way better, but an sl is just a fwd lard ass... 2002 nissan sentra se-r spec-v 2743lb 175hp @ 6000rpm 180lb ft @ 4000rpm 1992 mitsu 3000gt sl 3373lb 222hp @ 6000rpm 201lb ft @ 4500rpm So basically we are looking at a car that weighs ~600lb more and has less than 50hp more...the torque is less than 25ft lb more. Anyone with an (stock) SL who lives less than 500 miles away I will race and prove my car is faster.
