Engine code PO 400
I got the check engine light on, so i checked the computer and it,s giving me PO400. I understand it's the EGR valve. The thing is I don't know where its at. Can anyone help me and tell me where I can find it? Thanks. Oh yeah it's a 95 Mercedes C280. Thanks

Re: Engine code PO 400
I've had that code come up twice for my 95 C280. Both times I reset the code and it staid away for a long time time. Try resetting it and see what happens. I think its on the passenger side toward the firewall. Other M-B forums say it may be worth cleaning the valve and the lines before replacing the valve. That will be my next step if the code keeps resetting.

Re: Engine code PO 400
While looking straight at the throttle body, yhe EGR valve will be located to the right approximately 5 inches. It is circular in shape and has a tube connected to it at the "10 o'clock" position. The rubber tube is about an inch and a half long. ............check out : benzworld.com

Re: Engine code PO 400
If your car has the inline 6 cylinder motor, then the egr valve will be located between the firewall and the #6 intake runner. Which is the intake runner closest to the firewall itself.
