Audio Default Settings

My car's audio deck you cant read anything on the screen and right now i do not know what the bass and stuff is set at and my question is if i replace it will the settings it's set to now be recognized by my new audio deck like say Bass at +4 or w/e or will it consider the previous settings as the default.

it will have everything set at the default from the factory.

i assumed the whole deck? maybe he is just talking about the face plate.

If you have an amp then the amp's settings will be the same but if you replace the entire headunit, then of course your settings are going to be changed.
