ABS warning light
Had front brake pads and rotors replaced. Next day ABS light on dash came on. Took car to dealer .Dealer said front left speed sensor gone. Dealer replaced speed sensor. Same day car picked up from shop light on again.Bring car back to dealer. Now dealer says EBCM gone and will cost $855.00 to fix!! Question: I have a 1993 Chevy Cavalier with the same Delco ABS-VI system. Does anyone know if the EBCM's are interchangable? Please reply. Thanks

I would NOT recommend a ECU swap. While it may actually work to some degree, there are changes between identical hardware by vehicle type. I work in the ABS field, and the software in the ECU is trimmed to each particular vehicle.
Unfortunately, ECU's are expensive to replace. |

ABS breal light
What about getting an EBCM from another 95 Grand Am? Is there anything else besides replacing the EBCM that has to be done after it is installed? Or for that matter before it is installed?
