Object in the gas tank.
Hey all, had a little oopsy w/ my '96 Dakota.
The other day I was filling up my gas tank and was going to put a bottle of fuel line anti-freeze in the tank. When I pulled the foil safety seal off of the bottle a gust of wind blew the foil seal into the tank through the filler. I was able to drive the truck home. Am I going to drain the tank and fish the object out of the tank or is this no big deal? Any help would be appreciated. |

Them foil seals are dimesized (?). Hopefully it'll settle to the corner. with all the other junk from over the years. The pickup has a screen or sock over it so it shouldn't get sucked up anywhere.

Re: Object in the gas tank.
Ok that's good. Yeah the foil is dime-sized. I've had run of bad luck with this old beast lately and that's the last thing I need.
