sc300 transmission (please answer quick)
can you change the tranny of a sc300 from automatic to manual?

Although I'm by no means a Toyota expert, if you've got the money and time you could have about any car converted to manual transmission. As to how, I couldn't say.

i've heard of it being done. I believe the stock manual tranny used in the N/A Supra and SC300 is the W58.
I have been thinking of doing the exact same thing but for the thousands that it costs to have the job done RIGHT i would rather do a 1JZ swap i guestimate that a JDM 1JZ (2.5L turbo or TT) swap (hoping the engine mounts are the same) including buying, shipping and installation would be about $3500-$4000. and with that you would have a JDM monster capable of 600hp+ as opposed to a 225hp SC300 that does a 1/4 half a second quicker |
