If you know rd25/26 & 1jz/2jz I need help.

Hey I switched over from a honda hatch to a 95 240 sx, I am totally redoining the car from the body to the heart. I have the shell right know but I am honestly stuck. I dont know wither is better to put the rb25det worked or a rd25det stock with minor up grades. But i been hearing that the 1jz and 2jz also fit. I did the home work and got all the specs together on the motors. I just wanted some ones opion. Im tryin to reach around 500bwhp. With out selling my life. Any suggestions on most bang for the buck,
