2002 Yukon Parking Brake
So I have been reading through older posts on this and never found a good solution so now im asking again. My parking brake on my 02 Yukon is bad. I push it and it goes to the floor. Almost no stopping power what so ever.
What can I do to fix this problem? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help or shed some light on the solution! Jason |

Re: 2002 Yukon Parking Brake
Check all cables to the rear if good Then pull rear tires off,Rear calipers and slide off the rotor and look at the pads you may have tossed a liner or two.

Re: 2002 Yukon Parking Brake
i have the same issue and cant find a good solution, but a few things
- the pedal going to the floor is normal, the pedal is self adjusting, i did read of a way to disable this but cant figure it out - the backing plates rusting out is common, im not sure if the pbrake cable goes through the backing plate (i have to look the next i crawl under the trk) but if it does and its rusted out that might cause a problem too |
