Re: 93 geo handfull of questions
We got it running, my buddy forgot to tell me that he ran it out of gas. It seems to smoke a little and it smells like fuel. I took it out and drove it and it backfires every once and a while when you are throttling up. It seems a little sluggish ,but not bad. This is the first time I've got a real chance to mess with it. I haven't checked compression yet.
Does the map sensor w/filter plug into the top vacume port or the bottom port on the back of the TB? Now I do not have any check engine lights on and it is idleing much better. What should the timing be set at? Also I took the TPS off and was wondering how to set it back to factory position. I can change the idle if I move it back and forth. |

Re: 93 geo handfull of questions
A lot of your questions are already answered in this Forum, many times.
Have you done a search of this forum with key words like vacuum lines, TBS, Throttle Body, Map Sensor, Fuel Pump, etc. and spent some time reading? There are even copies of the Shop Manual with diagrams in here. Someday I may search all this stuff out and put it all together in an alphabetized Cross-Reference Thread to help folks - but they'd still need to "Search".... DoctorBill
