best audio brands

I'm looking into puttin a new system into my car, cause they stuff i have in there is junk. I just want it as a every day driver car, kinda on a budget(not cheap), but don't want the very high end or low end stuff. If you were buying a system, what brands would you want to buy or prefer. I'm talkin head unit, amp, mids, tweeters, the works. Thanks

Re: best audio brands

Before you do anything based on advice via interweb, you should head to ALL of your local shops to hear for yourself. The salespeople will say theirs is the best, but you can test everything out. Almost all audio brands have products in the 'not too cheap, not too expensive' category that isn't half bad. If you get an answer here, it will either be BS based on someones opinion, and they haven't heard everything, or it will be someone telling you that you should get the new $600 dollar _____ because it's the best. I'm partial to infinity speakers, alpine headunits, and rockford sub/amp for medium quality sound.

kenwood = head unit
rockford fosgate bd 1501 = amp
sony xplod, rockford fosgate e2, alpine type r12's = subs
boston accoustic = 6x9's
boston accoustic = 6 1/4 door speakers
if you want tweeters boston accoustics or pioneer r the best but u truley don't need them.
also if you want you can replace the i believe its 2 inch speakers in the dash by the windshield but its not needed either

and try the new fosgate subs...they r badasss i just bought 2 new 10's and they fuckin pound with that bd 1501 amp and its some clear ass sound compared to thier older models
and with all the other boston accoustic components ( 6x9's and 6 1/4's)that r amplified i get killer sound out of my car.

Head=JVC or Pioneer
Speakers=Directed Audio
Subs=Directed Audio
Amps=Directed Audio

Yes, I know. I am very partial to DEI stuff. Anyway, be carefull in what you look at and also get to hear. Everything is dependant of everything. What I mean is that you have to have a great install, make sure to pick a good system for the car, and make sure to take EVERYTHING into consideration. Just because a $5k system rocks in an Escalade doesn't mean it will in a Civic. If you want a great bang for the buck then check out these items. If there is something you need other than this, email me.
