98 talon clutch master cylinder bad?
My 98-eagle talon has a clutch engagement problem. This happened without warning. The clutch is not engaging at all. I did get it home by forcing it into gear and it did not slip after it was in gear. It looks as though the slave cylinder is pushing, but I don’t know if it is pushing far enough. The master cylinder has plenty of fluid and hasn’t been leaking. The fluid is dark. Could this be clutch or master cylinders?

Re: 98 talon clutch master cylinder bad?
does it feel like it has air in the system where the clutch goes down w/o any resistance? If your fluid is dark, you could have something that is clogging it up, so I'd flush that out and see how that goes.

I'd say you have air, or a master cyl. most likely guess.
