1996 Blazer Lift

I just bought a 1996 4x4 blazer 4.3 vortec for $1000. I am wondering what kind of list would be good for mudding and some crawlin. Just small stuff nothin massive. also it has 3" lift shackles in rear and the front upper control arm has been cut and spreaded and welded with 1/4" steel plate to lift front. this should probly get replaced before it breaks. i am also having problems with inspection i have replaced the cam position sensor, o2 sensors and had to weld in new o2 hole in the exhaust since it has duel exhaust not the stock y pipe. it keeps giving a code that there is no activity from the sensor. Any tips will belgreatly appreciated.
