Unhappy Air Filter Replacement

Anyone know any neat tricks for quickly changing the air filter without pulling off the air intake hose and wiring harness? I tried to do it quickly a few minutes ago without any tools and it looks like a nightmare. Even the upper radiator hose is blocking the assembly. This is the kind of crap that really tests my life-long loyalty to GM products.

Re: Air Filter Replacement

Well after taking a deep breath, I gave it another try. If you lift up and unclip the coolant reservoir, remove the air intake hose and unclip the two air filter housing latches, it is JUST possible to muscle out the cover of the air filter housing (which is wedged in by the wiring harness) and change the filter. First time was aggravation -- next time it will take just a few minutes.
