240,000 Club
Hello I have a 1999 3.5 Intrigue Factory Engine, Rebuild Trans( think i got trans done at high 100's or early 200's), & it runs quite fast & good. I have over 241,000 miles & counting do alot of driving city & highway, & I drive the hell out of my car everyday, every light. Are there any other people who can join my club?

Re: 240,000 Club
I'm at 255K today, 3 trannies, original engine. picked up a little rod knock a month or so ago, still trying to determine if I want to replace the motor. I've been driving it easy, it will probably last a while longer...

It may be time to lay your Intrigue to rest, remark. I'm at 174k miles on my 2000 Intrigue. Still running strong.

Re: 240,000 Club
the only real problem with my intrigue is the rocker panels are rotted all to hell, if fact their is very little metal left under those black rocker covers. Just a big gaping hole . As long as the black runners cover it i don't care ill just soak it in rust converter maybe patch it in the summer. otherwise, there is no visible rust on the car. I looked at a few other intrigues around the area car lots and they all seem to suffer from similar rot on the rockers.

Good god! I think it's time you let her go, remark123... let her go...
Maybe someday I can join the club. But I'm at 96K and my tranny is starting to make strange noises. Maybe it's nothing. But if it fails, I'm not sure I'm willing to replace it. |

Congrats on the Elite Gold Status Club 240K
Just wanted to know what number owner you were, what kind of oil you used and if at all you changed your timing chains? Thanks! |
