knocking noise from rear wheel around turns
I have an '88 taurus wagon with 156k. When I turn left, I hear a thumping sound coming from the rear of the car. Does anyone know what this could be. Thank you in advance. Any suggestions would be apprectiated.

Re: knocking noise from rear wheel around turns
Rear strut mounts or the stabilizer bar link kits are broken.

My 99 Taurus sedan, also makes a "thud" noise when I make a sharp left turn. It is coming from somewhere behind the driver.
Almost sounds like a bad CV joint, but this is obviously Front Wheel Drive. Any suggestions as to what I should check? |

Re: knocking noise from rear wheel around turns
Have you had any success figuring out what the problem was? I have the same issue with my 1996 Taurus and need to work on it this weekend. Should I not be driivng on it? Anything thoughts would be helpful...thanks.
