Altima Mods??

I am thinking about getting an Altima. It would be around a 99 or 2000. I have been looking through some of the threads, and it appears that It is very difficult to get mods for any Altima newer than a 97. Is there any turbo kit for Altimas in these years? How easy (or hard) is it to get around 250 - 300hp out of an 1999-2000 Altima?

Thanks

Re: Altima Mods??

i have a 2000 altima and there are no turbo kits for it but you can buy a turbo kit for the older altima. To make it fit you are gonna have to modify the piping so its no big deal at all. The KA engine has a lot of potential and can safely support 300hp on stock internals. I dont recomend buying a turbo kit though. Building your own is much cheaper and you get to choose the turbo you want.
Another good thing about the car is its wieght which is a little under 3000 lbs and thats not bad at all for a 4 door

I don't think you can get 300hp with stock internals from a Ka engine. Not safely, and it surely won't last long. THere has to bo some type of modification to the engine that can withstand the amount of pressure going through it

1) who would you/anyone want to twin turbocharge a motor. Just go with a larger single turbo. That's what Supra, RX-7, Mitsu. 300GT VR-4 owners do.

2) A stock Ka motor with a T.T. setup will not last long at all. The compression is not high enough for that set up. And if you raise the compression, the the motor is no longer stock

3) This thread is almost a year old (12 months, 365days)...Why even reply
