2005 Transmission Flush
What is the easiest way to flush out my transmission? I ran a bottle of Amsoil transmission cleaner, drained the fluid, changed both filters and getting ready to install pan. before i do, i wanted to flush out torque converter.

Re: 2005 Transmission Flush
On my Bravada, after changing the fluid and filter like you did, once a year I drew out a quart through the dipstick tube with a hand pump from Harbor Freight & added 1 qt. new fluid until the fluid got back bright red. It took about 5 years but it has 70K more miles now and a perfect transmission.

Re: 2005 Transmission Flush
disconnect the return line from the tranny cooler and let it flow into a bucket while you poor new fluid in the tranny filler hole. You will need a disconnect tool but they are cheap.
