Transit Connect Windshield Wiper problem

Transit Connect Windshield Wiper linkage 17K484 and motor 17508B at www.fordparts.com, After 100K miles, the linkage was going to rust out, and becoming siege up, overload the motor, then motor stopped. Should check relay first, 13A025C (20 amp) or 14N089 (40amp), relay contacts may burn out, after the fact, doing search on google about ford focus wiper relay problem.

I have to go to dealer to fix this, I was assuming that I need to replace both parts and since only dealer carry them, paid arm and leg for it, they only change linkage, I think, but paid $300, including 2 hours labors.

According Ford manual, replacing transmission fluid at each 25000miles, and there is no drain plug for this vehicle, it is pain to drop the pan for the fluid. A inline transmission fluid filter (FT-183) is sensible thing for easy maintenance work. less down time.

Ford seriously, please add drain plug to it. If Ford want to make commercial vehicle, please make these parts durable and easy to do maintenance work.

P.S. About Transmission fluid, only dealer carry Mercon LV graded in my town, dealer charge too much, so going with Amsoil low viscosity transmission fluid (ATL).
