2001 Sway Bar Links
Are there any special tools needed to replace the sway bar links? Is this a driveway job or would I be better off letting a mechanic do it ?

Re: 2001 Sway Bar Links
Nothing too special. I changed mine today in about 1.5 hours.
Remove the wheel, spray the threads with penetrating oil for good measure, a 14mm spanner removes the nuts. You may need to use an allan key in the end of the stud to prevent it from rotating while you turn the nut. I even used a pair of needle nose vise-grip on the joint side of one stud (damaging the old joint doesn't matter). You can use a pry bar and or large channel lock plyers to move the sway bar aroud to allow the studs room to get in and out of the holes. |

Re: 2001 Sway Bar Links
Sway bar links can be a pain or they can be simple. I usually just break them off. Then grab the balls with vice grips & use an impact to remove the nuts. They rarely come off the way they should.
