My $2600 Project
Sup ppl I bought my 99 GST about a month ago and this is what it looked like..
The guy I bought it from hit a rabbit, but He had a replacement bumper for it, Personally I thought it was an ugly bumper.. The clutch needed to be replaced, it was slipping really bad, that is why he dropped the price from $3000 to $2600 They had installed a crappy Ebay special BOV... but I replaced it with a Greddy Type RS I need to replace the tires because it has 235/45/17 and the tires rub in the back when I turn hard, but it has nice Rota Wheels The interior is in great condition, no rips or anything, other than the A-Pilar was all messed up but I installed a boost gauge and air fuel gauge so I got it fixed It has a HKS Hi-Power Exhaust. I will post more in second post. |

Re: My $2600 Project
Yea the car was factory black, and the guy painted it white with a blue pearl, but it is starting to fade so now it is kinda cream colored with a blue tint lol.. I plan on getting it painted black down the road..

Re: My $2600 Project
What kind of hose clamps are those? They look different than regular worm clamps.

Re: My $2600 Project
rather then changing the tires, just roll the rear fenders... thats what i did with my 235/45/17's. never had a problem... even did it baseball bat style ... just take your time, and go slow... easy as cake! you can imagine the look on my buddys face when i asked him if i could barrow his baseball bat... lol he said "what for?" and all i said was "my cars giving me attitude, i need to straighten her out" lol

Re: My $2600 Project
You didnt crack the paint? Maybe because it was OEM paint, the only car I ever done it on had a doo doo paint job on it, which cracked off when I took the bat to the fenders...well come to think of it, it wasnt so much the new paint's fault because the original paint under it cracked off too. My buddy started rolling the ones on his GTO, and cracked the factory paint on it too. Thats enough to make you want to cry.
