Re: Blackcrow64's Talon TSi AWD Project... Warning: Lots of pictures!
Alrighty, well today was a great day of accomplishments...
First off, all my damn machine work is done. Lemme tell ya, it better be worth the money I have in it. Turned out to be almost a grand worth of machining on this motor. Bored, decked, valve job, crank lightened, entire motor balanced. Now with my setup, all the components to this motor is good for either 600hp or 10k rpms... Whichever I exceed first. Which excites me. It opens up a lot of possibilities for the future of whatever I wish to do to my setup... I should have it back here then next week when I'm off work. Second off, due to the success of the dying, I continued on with it today. Now all the leather seats are dyed and they look simply amazing. I scratched on them and sat in them and nothing came off. So I know for a fact that is actually soaked up the dye rather than being just a paint or something. Anyways, the only thing I have left on the interior is to finish wiring up my guages, shift light, and turbo timer, and put my lower dash back on... The car is looking amazing. Pictures cannot do it justice to real life. (Stupid flash...) So here are the pictures that I know you all are craving so bad. Seats before and after and interior shots... Enjoy.

Holy shit, that came out fuckin nice!! I love the seats, I may have to do that to mine now!! The only thing that worries me about dying the leather isn't it flaking off, I'm scared that it will dry the seats out much much faster and cause the leather to crack. But shit, as much as I'm gonna drive my Talon, it'll be 10 years before they see enough use to crack.
How about a write-up on them seats 'eh? |

Loving the all black interior! I always wondered what darker carpet would look like.

If all goes as planned, the motor "should" be back to me this Friday and then I can put majority of it back together this weekend... Be prepared for some more pics... Hehe...
