Re: Cutlass -90 servicelight
Well I knew the US olds didnt have a 3.3 .
Them damn foreign cars Quote:
Well if you did over fill it that much, then it certainly can get into the air intake tube through the PCV system and faul out the MAF or an intake air temp sensor(IAT). Good Luck

Re: Cutlass -90 servicelight
Seems as if the problem has disappeared, hopefully...
I removed the MAF sensor and "hosed" the two small wires inside with WD40, after that the car wouldn't even idle and "huffed and puffed" for a few minutes, then the light went out an has not reappeared for three days and 20 miles now. If that or unplugging and replugging every contact I could spot was the cure, I don't know(and really don't care...). Finally, thanks to everyone who helped me troubleshooting, IOU! |

Re: Cutlass -90 servicelight
Haha ! You got lucky!
Usually getting them wet(with water or cleaners) they never want to work well, if at all. It very well could have been a contact, when you disconnected stuff it cleaned the contacts. Glad to here it running better though !
