Re: '91 galant

'91 galant- 122,000 miles. 2.0 non-turbo. check engine light comes on and off while driving, then it feels like it misses a few times then goes away. this repeats while driving. I can't keep the light on long enough to check the code. is it a faulty O2 sensor? also looking for a signal switch assembly w/lever. Any help would be good. Thank you.

Re: '91 galant

when is the lasttime you did a standard tune up on the car? do you plan on keeping the car? it sounds like it may be your ignition system could use a going over. new spark plugs, wires, check the corrosion on your battery, change your oil, fuel filter, air filter, and run some seafoam fuel treatment through it before you change your fuel filter and then again afterwards.

besides that, don't get gas at any cheap places, that can cause the same problems you are experiencing.

Start with the seafoam and fuel filter though.

Thanks, I'll try your suggestions. I've changed my plugs, wires, air filter, but not fuel filter. I'll try seafoam.
