Im asuming you have the SE model then. Ok you can and its not all that bad to do, find a 93-94 Grand Am GT and get the 2.3L out of it. This motor makes 175HP really good for a 4 banger. This would not be a big job to do. That motor makes as much power as the new Grand Am GT do. Good luck. I don't want to have you put a V-6 in b/c you would be looking for more work than what you really want to get into. My other thought is if you got 4 grand to spend, you might as well get the 2.3 you got now and have it upgraded to the 2.3 available in the GT models. There will be slight change with the bore and stroke done with the motor and a Turbo will be installed. Your 2.3 has 3.62 X 3.35 bore/stroke(in.) The 2.3 in a GT has 3.78 X 3.15 bore/stroke (in.) with a turbo. How would you feel about that kind of an upgrade? This might be better than finding some 93 GT that has 100+ thousand miles in the junk yard or in the impound lot owned by the bank. So if I were you, I'd take that 2.3 of yours and have it upgraded to a 2.3L Turbo 4cylendar. I know 175HP don't sound a whole lot, but it is alot better than 115HP
