cheap 80-93 5spd car.
well i own a 1986 oldsmobile cutlass ciera right now but it definently doesnt have the "get up and go" that i want
(plus its an automatic) <--- so im wanting to go out and get something a bit more sporty that would still be cheap on insurence and the wallet (v8's are out of the question) ive driven 5spd corrolas (both 85) also driven a 2000 jeep tj, 2001 accent, and probly driving a 2000 civic during this summer (might even be allowed to take it to the drag strip ) they all being 5spds. ive driven all of these in the snow, rain, and on nice days (and by far love the rainy days) but im really wanting something i can drive daily then take it to the track (drag and autocross) and have some fun with. (probly looking fwd) so what are some good (cheap, as in around 1000 CND) cars to look into?

Maybe you could find one of the Mopar 2.2 turbo cars from the 80's. Also, you'd probably like an old CRX.

1988 - 1991 Ford Taurus SHO
They're very cheap , and they're all 5 speed FWD cars. The only drawback is that they're kind of hard to find, so you'll have to look hard. |

Honda Civic or CRX. You can do the most to it. Plus the benefit of having an older Civic is that most tuner Civics seem to be newer late 90's to early 2000's, so you've got the stuff because the car is popular without looking like everybody else.
