Loctite on starter bolts

So my starter finally went out on my 1998 Transport with 160K miles. Left the wife and I stranded. When I went to take the old one out, the bolts required quite a bit of torque to remove. When I put the new one in, I tried to duplicate that amount of torque. My question is, are those bolts usually dabbed with some Loctite? Thanks.

Re: Loctite on starter bolts

Don't usually see loctite on starter bolts, but I don't suppose it would hurt anything to put a medium strength loctite on if you wanted to.
