a few issues (speedometer, door panel)

OK the first issue, the speedometer doesn't work could be the gauge is broken, not hooked up, or a friend said to check/replace the a relay for the speedometer, can't remeber the exact name, but i don't know where it would be.
second issue is kinda dumb but the driverside window won't go up all the way so i figure the tape is broken but i don't know how to get the window handle off to take off the panel
thanks for any help

Re: a few issues (speedometer, door panel)

sounds like your gauge cluster needs replaced. if the speed sensor goes out, the pcm should set a ses light if it does. what year is your car?

now about the window crank removal, its best to get the tool to do it because other wise you get to go at it with a thin flat head screwdriver.

here is the clip..............

here is the tool...............

here is how it works, if it helps (MAKE SURE YOU GET BETWEEN THE PLASTIC WASHER AND THE HANDLE!!!!).........

Re: a few issues (speedometer, door panel)

its a 94 and i do need to check the code because the check engine light it on, anyways thats a great tip i've never had a picture from a reply.
thanks i'll try that and check the engine light and reply back
the check engine light was for a swith on the transmission and air cleaner box, on another note, takeing off the interior door panel was pointless, i need to take off the exterior door panel to figure out the window issue.
