This is for MaximumBrian
Brian, on your list of mods its says you have the Bose system in your car, but it also says you have a JL 12W3 sub and a Kenwood 650 Watt Amp. I just want to know if you integrated the sub into the bose and how does it sound and how did you do it exactly or if you just replaced the Bose?? Ever one either says it can't be done (the integration) or they say it will sound like crap.
Thanks Supa-Fly |

Hey, sorry about the delay it seems AF has been down a while. Well the way to do it is to purchase a high/low converter for a sub. Make sure you max the voltage out on the converter. Then, you wire the converter up to the amp on one of the rear speakers (BOSE system runs individual amps on each speaker). Then you run the other end of the converter into the stereo inputs on the amp. You wire the remote, power, and ground up like any normal system, and there you go. The reason you can't do the install conventionally is because the gain on the speaker wire coming out of the headunit doesn't have enough juice for the amp to interpret because the signal hasn't been amplified yet. The high/low converter will cost $30-$80 depending on brand and quality. Mine is one of the cheaper ones.
Hope this helps.
