Unhappy Tail lights stay on

Help! My outer red lights stay on even with ignition and light switch off. Turn signal works ok. Maybe brake light switch? Thanks for any replys.

Unplug the brake light switch and you should have your answer. If it were your headlight switch, your front parking lights would be on too. The brake light switch should be on the brake pedal arm under the dash about 3/4 the way up.

yes check brake light switch behind pedal sometimes they slip out of place..good luck......

The switch usually stays put, but anything can happen on an old car. You'll probably have to remove the rod that goes to the master to get the switch out. It should have a big clip that holds the pin in place.
