Re: 95 k1500 350 tbi stalls

Almost forgot the wires at the fuel pump are known to get all green and gunky and that cause high resistence in the wires . it causes the fuel pumps to heat up the shut down so check the wires at the tanks real close and clean any that look discolored

Re: 95 k1500 350 tbi stalls

I did look over my pump/tank wiring when I had the box off to replace my pump, with nothing evident. I do notice that my voltmeter jumps up/down with the electric load varing, ie; signal lite flashing. It has been doing this since I had the truck (3-4 yrs). Spoke to other owners of these & theirs stays steady. A bad/corroded connection - related to this or not????. I will check out the wiring around the TBI/ injectors & try the "tap test" on the ECM

It turns out that the ignition control module was bad. It also
will shut the fuel off so that it will not keep sending gas into the engine.

Re: 95 k1500 350 tbi stalls

Not too sure about that one. We had a 1990 3500 6.2L diesel at work (old body style) & I seemed to think it had a 4L80e. I tried the module in my truck, but it didn't fix it. The last thing I tried was a bottle of injector cleaner ,which was back during Christmas & it hasn't acted up since. I suspect this must have cleaned some gunk out of the fuel press regulator.....

Re: 95 k1500 350 tbi stalls

I have a similiar problem on my mudder but not as extreme, I have changed the FPR, Entire distributor, Fuel pump, filter & TPS. Now it will run fine but stall once in while at idle, It's annoying and you'll feel a surge to try to stay on but dies under load, Haven't had a chance to drop it off at a buddys shop, I will post what he finds out once it's there. It's getting old I'm ready to swap out the ECU since I get no trouble codes and it still passes smog?
