89 Grand Am
We have 89 grand Am with 2.5 we put it up a jackstands to replace the passenger side cv joints. the car was up on the jackstand for about 2 months and was running when we place it up on the stand now that the job is finished car was taken down now the car will turn over but not start! is there some type of switch that needs to be reset or maybe a bad fuel pump i checked the relay with test light all seems good and is there a way of checking the pump with out removing the gas tank? any advice would be good!

Re: 89 Grand Am
Welcome to AF luckyis35.
If the batterys weak it may not turn over fast enough to start . You should hear the fuel pump engauge when your turn the key on to start. If not check your fuses and the fuel pump relay. The relays are along the firewall . Check for spark also. Did you disconnect anything when you serviced the car ?? Yeah caddyroger I doubt his car is having a passlock issue it doesnt realy work the same on the 1989 GA's. and Happy Holidays!
