transmission hold light
After looking at a friends '89 MX-6 for a trans problem it seems the car won't go into any gear and the "hold" light on the dash blinks steadily.Any ideas?

Re: transmission hold light
the "hold" light is for preventing the car from going into overdrive, IE Not Shifting... should be a button for turning that off..

Re: transmission hold light
Did you ever fix the hold light issue? I have the same issue, but "pushing the button" doesnt do anything.

if you guys read your owners manual the hold light is for preventing an up and down shift like in drive at a stop if the hold button is pressed it will take off in second it is made for like snow kind of like a traction control wbu wipes out your foreward clutches if done a lot because it creates a slip
