Keyless entry for 2002 will operate slider but not locks??

I have 2 factory remotes for my 2002 Montana that will not lock or unlock the van. They both will operate the automatic slider door. I have reprogrammed the remotes and they still will not operate locks. Any ideas?

What's the history on them? I would make sure they are the correct ones for your vehicle. If they are the correct remotes for your vehicle, the contacts inside could be dirty. You have to carefully split the case open and use a clean pencil eraser to rub on the contacts of the printed circuit board until they are clean. Then reassemble. Be careful when taking apart. If you put too much of an angle on the two halves when you are separating them, you could break the edge where they join. Also, when pulling the rubber button surface off of the circuit board, don't grab it by a button. It will just tear off. Use a toothpick under the edge and get it started there.

Did you try new batteries in the key less remote?
How about resetting the control module in the drivers door.

I'm pretty sure it's not the batteries, because the remote does operate the slider. Where do I find the control module and how do I reset it?

1) Disconnect the Autos battery.
2) Touch the autos positive cable to body ground for a few seconds.
3) Connect the Auto battery.

This will reset the ECU, PCU, BCM, and all the control modules.
