Talking Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT

EDIT: GO DOWN TO POST 14 TO SEE UPDATE!!!

This pic has always been one of my favorite black and white car pics, so I decided to draw it. Enjoy!

OK, took me about 3 hours, I made it small so alot of the detail is hard to see.

Ref pic: http://www.fast-autos.net/lamborghini/rgt.html

What do you think?

Thanks,

Ross.

Thats really cool! I haven't seen very many like that at all. Something about the spoiler looks funny to me though...

EDIT: nevermind, it is just me.

Re: Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT

that looks awesome... it looks really agressive especially how it's a black/carbon fiber car and the black background. and the angle is pretty sick too

Looks great except that backdrop. You can see too much of the grain... What did you use for that? Looks like a deep-B pencil. I'd suggest cleaning it up with smudgers (stumps). Right now, that kind of brings down the quality of an amazing drawing. In general, you can see a bit of the pencil's lines on the car.

I'm pretty sure that someone has suggested that you use these. Why don't you?

Hey Ross,

That drawing is awesome. I like that white highlight down the wind shield and hood. The care looks like it was just waxed.

Is that pen?

Thx

Al

Re: Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT

It's a color pic alright, but the colors are black and white...lol.

I like that pic...the car being drawn with the white lines. I remember havin to do somethin close like that in art, except we had to color the whole paper black and use the eraser to draw the car.

Re: Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT

OK, just got up from my snooze

Right, first I forgot to say I hadnt finished with the details and smoothing the shading, so it'll look alot better when its finished AnsisK!

Asaenz: The drawing is 100% pencil.

you: It's a colour pic, but it looks black and white ok?

KustmAce: The spoiler does look a bit rubbish actually, i'll do it again, thanks for spotting it!

EDIT: Actually, looking at it again, alot of the shading tones are all wrong, see you with an update in a minute (or 50...)

OK, heeerrre come the updates!

Thankyou for spotting the mistakes Like I said I should have said that it was a sort of WIP, sorry!

If you can still find things to improve on, say what they are!

p.s AnsisK, I used a B first time round, with a fine 2mm tech pencil for the detail on the car (wheels etc.). To smooth it up like i've done below, I used a 7B.

Thanks,

Ross.
