where is the cam sensor located?
97 3.3 what is the location of the cam sensor?
Does it have a crank sensor also? |

The cam sensor is located just to the left (as your looking at the engine) of the thermostat housing. Don't remove it unless you are replacing it as the new one comes with a special paper spacer on the end to set the proper air gap clearance. The crankshaft position sensor is down in the bell housing on the transaxle just above the finned differential housing. I don't think the crank sensor goes very often though, as the engine will probably not run at all if it is defective. I would recommend a scantool being connected for a checkout of these sensors as live data values of them can tell a lot to an experienced tech.
