Re: Wip 3 Merc Benz DTM D2;Telle;Warsteiner
Ok the Team D2 car decals have been set.. judging from picture i need to coat one more coat of decal softer and rub down the decals lightly before spraying clear. Hopefully after the clearcoat it will all look flushed and good.
Thanks for lookin!

Wow, you´re really moving fast. Great progress. You build three cars in the time I need for just one!

Re: Wip 3 Merc Benz DTM D2;Telle;Warsteiner
Thank u godfather23 for your kind words.. maybe im fast cause i spend quite a number of hours doing the decals...
Tiny update... Did up the decals for the front hood and front side wheel arc vents. Pretty much took 1-2 hours just to do that... Note that the hood was already done the other day.. so yeah , really spent alot of time... I took so long cause i had to slowly apply decal softer and bend the decal abit then letting it dry and repeating until the whole decal is set.. Thanks for your time and interest in my project!

I used the supplied paint masks and Tamiya's clear red acrylic paint brushed on from both in- and outside. Count on several layers of clear before the Original-Teile is smooth, I think I put on over 20 thin layers of Modelmaster's Metalizer sealer on mine. That clear is very thin and takes several passes with the airbrush before it builds up any thickness. The good thing is that it doesn't attack the decals in anyway at all, totally safe but a bit on the expensive side compared to Tamiya TS-13. Good luck on the rest, you're doing fine! Niclas |

Re: Wip 3 Merc Benz DTM D2;Telle;Warsteiner
Yeah.... Update time again!
Team D2 body is done.. basically left with the windows and minor detailing.. Warsteiner is currently on hold till the extra kit comes.. kinda screwed up part of the decal on one side .. Because of this i have decided to get Studio27's DTM 2000 24 hour team decals... so a fourth DTM car will be made Progress on the original-teile going well so far.. spent around 3 hours slowly doing the decals on one side which is more or less perfect now.. just starting on the other side currently... While was waiting for the decals to dry... i started work on this model just took it out to paint. Thanks!!!

Re: Wip 3 Merc Benz DTM D2;Telle;Warsteiner
Ok i decided to post smaller pictures so it would be easier to see without scrolling left to right.
Finally done with the decals on original-teile.. and just completed two of the wings/spoilers. These were painted matt black followed by CFing with SMS standard CF decals. I used a blade to clean up the wings followed by a toothpick as u will see in the pictures Then i slap on the mobil decals Thanks
