Question Euro Headlights...Parts / Questions??

Hey guys / gals,

I. PROBLEM <G>

I have a set of Euro ellipsoid lights and one of my connections was loose which, I assume, caused one of my bulbs to over heat and melt the reflective plastic housing that surrounds my passenger-side low beam. It just melted the bottom part of it, so it works but is a noticeably more dim than the other light.

Does anyone know if I can buy that part without buying a new light assembly??? Or if anyone has a damaged set they may be willing to part out?

II. During the initial installation I noticed that the "kit" that came so that I could attach the lights to my US spec electrical system was not quite right (I think?). The plastic connectors that screw on the lights were fine. However, the 8 (4 x 2) metal "sleeves" that go into the holes were too big to fit snugly around the posts on the lights? I could not get any contact, so I ended up having to solder a little onto the ends of these sleeves. Was there a better way??

III. What are the recommended bulb types for the lights? I was told to use 9005's for both high and low beams. Is this accurate?

Any help would be appreciated!! :)
