Corbin seats, do they belong on Harleys only?
Just curious about what people feel about Corbin seats. Are they worth it. I'm an R1 rider and I particularly enjoy those long six hour rides. I'm getting ready to install Heli Bars. Do Corbin seats make a difference. I'm sure if you had ass like Jennifer Lopez, a piece of ply-wood would be sufficient.

Re: Corbin seats, do they belong on Harleys only?
I don't have any first-hand experience witrh the Corbin, but I know that they make a seat for my VFR. The guys over on the VFR swear by them. The seat that comes stock on the bike is pretty comfortable to start with, but the folks who have switched them out to Corbins (or Sargents) are VERY happy.
I plan on switching my OEM seat out for a Sargent someday.... someday.... |

Re: Corbin seats, do they belong on Harleys only?
Is Sargent another word for Corbin, or is it a different brand?

What kind of problems did you have that required customer service?

Re: Corbin seats, do they belong on Harleys only?
Personally, I only had to deal with a very long lead time for my seat. Numerous posts on the ZRXOA and other boards clearly show a lack of customer care. This isn't one or two instances, it's widespread. I'm sure there's plenty of people that have had a fine experience with them too. But those arent' the ones that are usually written about.

Re: Corbin seats, do they belong on Harleys only?
I have a corbin on my 02 F4i, personally i like the seat, although a couple of people who have ridden my bike and aren't use to the seat do not enjoy it.

Re: Corbin seats, do they belong on Harleys only?
well doesnt the seat form to your butt... so if someone else rides it it wouldnt fit their butt... anyway i saw someone with the same bike as i have with a corbin seat... didnt get a chance to ask him if he liked it because i had to leave before he got back outside... anyway for me it just aint worth the 220$ for a new seat like that... maybe if i win the lotto and get a butload of money ill get one ... untill then my broke college kid ass will stay with my original holy seat haha....

Re: Corbin seats, do they belong on Harleys only?
I just saw an old Yamaha FZR 1000, with a Corbin seat. The bike was pretty beat up to begin with, but the seat looked really bad. I guess it's made of leather. I suppose you have to take care of the seat with saddle soap and leather conditioner. The upside to the stock vinyl seat is that it last long and usually is easy to refurbish it with a new piece of material for just $8 from the upolstory shop.

Re: Corbin seats, do they belong on Harleys only?
My friend has a Corbin seat on his TL1000R, it looks sharp. its much stiffer than the stock seat but has better contours. I was thinking of looking for one for my bike but the power commander is first on the list of goodies.
