Control Arms replacement

2002 LS V8 3.9L 181k miles.

So i've finally had enough of the noise and knocking. I know it needs ball joints and whatever acts as tie rod ends. Pretty much an overhaul because replacing only the ball joints will not stop the creaking that's coming from the upper and/or lower control arm bushings.

I've replaced the hubs before and they came right out...probably because there's not much rain in TX and no rain no rust.

So who's done it before? What to I need to know? Can I do this in my garage on jack stands? Im concerned about how tough its going to be to get the control arm bolts lose at the non ball joint end of the control arms. I have a breaker bar. Any advice, warnings, cautions, and or notes, etc would be greatly appreciated.
