yeah ive heard ofpeople being turned away and having their whole warranty voided over a cai.. which is bullshit cause it has nothing to do with electrical problems or windows not going up or messed up paint...
a dealership cannot void your warranty unless they prove that the aftermarket part caused teh problem

and no, no word from hyundai on release for their hard parts from bse
theyre for teh elantra and tib... no earlier generations i believe

hey I was just thinking, an no one has been around to tell me? Will it be mods for just the V6 Tib or will the I4 be included as well? It would suck if it wasn't

hello everyone. im scott (duhh) I also am a member of the hyundai team, located out here in Spokane Washington. I've been researching, asking questions, reading, and asking more questions about Hyundai's introduction to Americas fasted growing Fad. Performance Parts. and i have to tell you, from several years of experience from selling hyundais, HMA is "not" intrested in letteing anyone know whats on the table for next quaters production. Take Alabamas production faclity for example, we dont even know what the sonatas will look like, and the'll be here in less then a year, when production is complete.
hyundai's western reginal parts and service manger Howerd Shaw is a qurious as you and i are. Bruce (western sales manger) hasent returned my phone calls, im sure there for good reasions.

just the other day i went to get my tib 2000 30,000 service done, and i asked the parts receptionist about hyundai perofrmance parts. sheagot all excited and told me we have them! she came back with a neat, but pointless rear light assembly.......i found no humor in this then, but i am laughing now.

I love my Hyundai Tiburon, I'm still very disapointted about how stiff they are on the warrentty specially when the Tiburon (I-4 or V6) could seriously kick some ass if we could mod it. I am pissed that it's taken so long to get the aftermarket parts to get out to us, specially when they baited us with is a while out...

What do you mean about the warrenty? I know that you dont void your warrenty if you have a Cold Air Intake From AEM, Or N1 exaust. we have a cutomer who we jumped through hoops for to find if it was ok to install in our service department (we have a veary anal service dept) these 2 parts, we called Howard, or reginal distric serves and parts manager and asked him what if these would affect the warrenty, he called us back 2 days later and said if we oppend the boxes from AEM & Apexi, they would not affect the warrenty, for anything else.. who knows...
