Ferrari F40 competizione Monte Shell '93

And thanks to the enormous reactions on the Enzo project, I decided to put on a new project.
It is the Tamiya Ferrari F40 with Photo etch,
Here are some pictures of the first steps

Looks really promising...Keep it coming! BTW how is the fitting on this kit? Itīs Fujimi. Did they have any improvements while reissueing this kit?

No it isn't Like I posted; It is an Tamiya kit, wich fits perfect. Alle except the hood, that one is pretty bad and Revel-like

Well, I've made some progress today, but it isn't a lot.
Because the centre console is of a streetversion, I had to melt it out and make my own race-version:

This is the new console with a new floorpanel

I also needed to make a new gearbox-console, and some kind of bracket.

Because Tamiya didn't take the effort to make a roll-cage, I had to make my own, what started with this. But this thing was way to wide, and it would have stuck out of the car.

This is the newer one, wich isn't finished yet

And for comparisation: the white one is mine, the black one is from Tamiya :?

Your build is coming along very well, that engine cover really is a pain to fix. Do you have any references for your roll cage, or are you just guessing?
