Add me to the list.
I noticed mine had settled a bit last week. I adjusted them up about 1/2" and everything is fine again. |

I may not be reading this correctly, but the space between my upper A-arm and the bump stop right under it is about 3/4" which is what it has been since I installed the torsion bars ... Ian on the other hand says he has about 1" in that space. But he hasn't answered 90% of my other questions involving measurements ... of course, then again no one else has either so ... :o |

Yes, you're reading it correctly. Funny, my t-bar lift can't be that much 'cause my 31x10.5's rub the Canadian mud flaps (I've shaved them with a knife to aid clearance, too) when I back out of the driveway & turn wheels simultaneously but I don't have too much space between bump stop & upper A-arm. Another funny thing: driver's side camber can be adjusted to dead center of spec (range is .1-1.1 with .6 the target) but passenger side can only be adjusted to about .2; but, all my measurements show that the passenger side t-bar is cranked LESS than the driver's side--that is, most passenger side measurements are about 1/16-1/8" shorter than driver's side. The only thing I can think of is we're seeing car to car and intra-car manufacturing tolerances rearing they'r ugly heads. I took some measurements but I've been hesitant to post 'cause they're on the driveway w/31x10.5" tires so the relevancy is not huge but I'll try to post tonight. Actually, I'll re-measure & post 'cause I recently had my tires rotated & the tread thickness difference was pretty big.

Sway away measurements.
I just installed the sway away torsion bars this weekend. I also found that the passenger side adjusting bolt required fewer turns than the drivers side adjusting bolt. As it stands now the drivers side was turned 17 full turns and the passenger side was turned 15 full turns. I get 12" on both sides from the ground to the frame, 17" from the hub to the lower wheel well, and 1" between the A arm and bump stop. I am still running stock AT's with 35 psi up front and 33 psi in the back. I also noticed when I took the tires off that my passenger side tire has much more wear on the outer edge of the tread and the truck has always pulled slightly to the passenger side. Any feedback on the ride height? To high or push it more?

if the tire has much more wear on the outside than you definitely have an alignment problem that needs to be looked at before it gets really serious. as for the height and turns issue, this could be as simple as you having the bars indexed differently. the number of turns would depend on if you had exactly the same angle of the rear anchors when you reinstalled them. i wouldn't worry about that too much, it is more that the 2 sides are even to the frame that is the area you want to look at. if they are equal you are fine.
