Performance chip?

Does anyone have experience using the SL-R module in their miata? I purchased one on ebay for my 2000 miata se and my mechanic wont install it. any thoughts/opinions??

Sammy, If it's the "Power Chip" that claims to add more power, just pitch it. All it does is trick the ECU into adding more fuel, something that your foot does already.

you can do the same thing with a $5 risistor from radio shack. Its not a chip but a nicely package resistor that is wired inline with the engine coolant temp sensor in thinking that the car is cool thus adding more fuel and advancing timing. In long run it will destroy your o2 sensor and cats.

instructions for adding power to miata.
step 1.
remove 4 banger
step 2.
install small block chevy
step 3.
smoke hondas with homemade turbo systems.

lol nicely put but my POS turbo honda has better gas milage. A tech 60 can you hear a turbo Wine from Ronnie all the way out there. Damn I'm going deft here.

People are still buying that overpriced resistor crap? And my mostly homeade turbo setup will smoke both turbo hondas and LS1's....
