Question Nissan Frontier Service

I have a 2002 Nissan Frontier 4x4. Just took it to the dealer for the 30,000 mile service (it actually had 27,500 on the clock) The basic service was done and then the tech said that the brake fluid was black and should be replaced - with sythetic fluid at a an additional cost of over $100. Also said the same thing about the front and rear differntials - estimated cost of $320.
This sure looks steep to me. I live in the south, so no severe winter weather to drive in and do very little off road - dirt roads maybe to reach a campsite.
So, I would like to know if this is usual for the vehicle with so few miles on it - also if the charges are reasonable. (The basic charge for the 30,000 mile service was $357)
Thanks for any input.

Chris

I thought that stuff was included in your basic price, all the fluids were supposed to be included. Let me know what happened because I am getting mine serviced in about a month.
