Car roars
My g/f's 07 G6 has a roar as your driving down the road. The roar is not there when still and idling. The roar gets louder the faster you go and when you take a curve to the left and gets quieter when you take a curve to the right. There is also a small microvibration with the roar. Any advice would be greatly apprecieated.

Re: Car roars
You probably have a noisy front hub bearing. Raise the front end and check for any play in the hubs (top to bottom movement) also feel for any roughness when rotating the wheel. Best way to identify the noisy one is with a mechanics stethascope that can be purchased from almost any parts store. Have the front wheels in the air, jackstands or a hoist if possible. Put the car in gear and place the probe end on the hub bolts and listen for the noisy one.
Or just replace both and be done with it! |
